My Story – The Heart Behind Sacred Paw Botanicals
From the moment I could walk, I knew I was different. I didn’t just love animals—I understood them. I was born into a family deeply rooted in the reptile world; my relatives were well-known snake catchers in Sydney Australia, and my childhood was anything but ordinary. I grew up surrounded by creatures great and small—snakes curled around my fingers, lizards sunning by my side, and the soft nuzzle of mammals who felt safe in my presence.
My path with animals has always been guided by a deep inner knowing. Over 16 years ago, I began working with WIRES as a wildlife rescuer, rehabilitating everything from snakes and lizards to birds, microbats, and flying foxes. My bond with animals only deepened over the years, and I expanded my hands-on experience by becoming a pet groomer—a profession I’ve held for over 13 years—alongside earning qualifications in canine massage therapy and completing a dangerous dog behavior course.
But my connection went beyond the physical. I felt animals' emotions, sensed their discomfort, and knew there had to be more I could offer. That calling led me into the world of energy healing and natural remedies. I studied Reiki for animals, delved into herbalism, and began making gentle, energetically infused remedies for my own beloved companions. Each blend was made with reverence, love, and the intention to restore balance and wellbeing.
What began as a personal journey has now grown into Sacred Paw Botanicals—a sanctuary for pets and their people. With every product and service, I offer the essence of everything I’ve lived, learned, and loved. This is more than a business; it’s a soul calling to bring harmony to the hearts, minds, and bodies of the animals we cherish.
